The National Young Stars event organising committee is delighted to announce an exciting five-year relationship with the Royal Winter Fair, Toronto.

In previous years, winners of the beef competition have been fortunate to attend the Royal Winter Fair in November as part of their winning prize from the National Young Stars Event. This has seen the winning team members compete in 4H showmanship and conformation classes at the Winter Fair, as well as some educational time on farm with our hosts.

Now, those individuals fortunate enough to go will still be able to compete, but other possibilities for further showing experience at the event will present themselves, as well as the chance to attend more farm tours, workshops and interaction with overseas breeders.

However, due to overseas travelling implications those competitors fortunate to win a place to Canada will have to be over the age of 18 at the time of travelling to Canada (November).

Therefore, the NYS committee have taken the decision to select three ambassadors to compete at the Winter Fair in Canada based on their individual abilities and success at the NYS event.

The selection of three will be made from all beef (trimmed and untrimmed/dual purpose) competitors who will be 18 or over at the time of November 1st and will be selected by the team of beef judges and an announcement will be made during the presentation of prizes as to who will be representing the NYS team in Canada.
